‘APAAR ID’ to be global document for students: Dharmendra Pradhan

Two Board exams to be held form next academic year

The minister also highlighted the concept of introducing 10 bag-less days in school every year.

New Delhi: Students who would be appearing in Class 10, 12 exams in the academic year 2025-26 will have the option to appear in board exams twice from that year. The announcement was made by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the launch of PM SHRI (Prime Minister Schools for Rising India) scheme in Chhattisgarh. Around 211 schools of the state will be upgraded under the move.

Ministry of Education : Centre asks states to fix six years as minimum age for class I admission

The Education Ministry has urged all states and Union Territories to ensure that the age of admission to class I is six-plus years from the 2024-25 session onwards.

The initiative aligns with the provisions in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009.
